This detailed half model is a 1/4"=1' scale replica of the historic Buy Boat which were an integral part of the fishing industry off of the East Coast and Chesapeake Bay area in the latter 1800's and turn of the century.
The vessel bought the catch from the fishermen at the fishing grounds, allowing them to stay and fish, and still sell their catch . Rendered from pictures and blueprints of an actual vessel, this colorful model is sure to look great on the wall of your den, office or cottage.
The model is mounted on a mahogany stained backing board with an engraved brass plaque. The backing board measures 18 1/2 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall. The actual model length is 17 1/2 inches. The half hull is hand packaged in bubble wrap inside a white collectors box with color label. An information card is included giving a short history of the vessel.
