Top racer and sailmaker Tom Whidden shows how to handle spinnakers and cruising chutes when sailing downwind.
This hour long program demonstrates basic spinnaker handling techniques, including packing, launching, jibbing and trimming sail. Tom also gives pointers to various crew positions when handling spinnakers and uses a model sailboat to show the effects of changing the height and angle of the spinnaker pole.
